Three Mountain Inn - Jamaica
The
Three Mountain Inn offers 15 well-appointed rooms in the village of Jamaica overlooking the lovely woodlands and trails of
the Jamaica State Park.
With its wide-planked pine walls known as "King's Wood" and massive center chimney with multiple fireplaces, the Three Mountain Inn
boasts an abundance of history and an air of welcoming luxury.
Room amenities include period furniture, featherbeds, luxurious linens & robes,
and CD players; some rooms have private decks, whirlpool
tubs, and TV/DVD players. A three course breakfast is served daily in the
Inn's elegant but casual dining room.
The inn's award winning restaurant is open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday.

Jamaica House Bed & Breakfast - Jamaica
The Jamaica House has two en suite bedrooms, one of which has a small additional bedroom
attached for those traveling with children. A third bedroom will be available by the summer of 2009.
Continental breakfast is served either in the old tavern, which has small tables, or in the dining room if preferred.
A comfortable living room with TV, books, games, DVDs and music is available for
guest use, and guests have the added convenience of a refrigerator on the main
floor for their use as well.
And in the summer, the large front porch is the best place in town!
Nearby conveniences include the Jamaica Country Market directly across the street with a great selection of foods, wine and beer;
the Jamaica Coffee House next door with great coffees, chili, sandwiches, bagels, and ice cream in the summer;
the Three Mountain Inn across the street with a superb dining room; and Jamaica State Park, a short 1 mile walk.

Windham Hill Inn - West Townshend
Built in 1825 as a working dairy farm, the Windham Hill Inn is a large complex located in West Townshend (southeast of Jamaica) with a lovely Green Mountain setting. The
main house boasts upscale country decor with Oriental carpets, period antiques, and fine locally made furnishings. Wood-burning brick fireplaces add a warm ambiance to the two
parlors.
All rooms and lofts are very well appointed and offer great views. Many feature fireplaces or Vermont Castings stoves, window seats,
Jacuzzis or soaking tubs and private porches.
A full country-style breakfast is served daily in the Frog Pond Dining Room.
Amenities of the inn include a native-clay tennis court, a brick-terraced heated pool,
a four-mile network of trails through 160 acres of pine and maple forest, and an
award-winning restaurant serving fine cuisine.
As the name implies, the inn sits atop Windham Hill. As such, cyclists must
endure a somewhat steep, challenging climb a few miles in length. Though the inn is not located in Jamaica (if you elect to stay here, you'll pass through
Jamaica at the start of your second day of cycling), we've included the Windham
Hill as an option here because it is considered by many to be among New
England's finest inns!

Ranney Brook Farm Bed & Breakfast - West Townshend
Ranney Brook Farm Bed & Breakfast is a restored 1830
post and beam farmhouse offering four guest rooms. With wide pine board floors, a large fieldstone fireplace in the common room, quilts at the foot of guest beds, and a
welcoming kitchen where homemade cookies are always on hand, a stay at Ranney Brook Farm is a classic Vermont experience redolent with country charm.
Guest rooms are cozy and private, furnished with antiques and lace country curtains. The common areas are casual and relaxed
and include a large farm-style porch, and a pretty vegetable / flower garden with a hammock for napping. Breakfast is served daily.
For dinner, the Townshend Dam Diner is a five minute walk from the B&B; it
serves classic inexpensive diner fare. Since the Ranney Brook is not located in Jamaica, if you elect to stay here,
you'll pass through Jamaica at the start of your second day of cycling.

The Stone Boat Farm Bed & Breakfast - Jamaica

The Stone Boat Farm is a four room bed and breakfast built in the early 1800’s as a farm
and later operated as a saw mill for the construction of the “stone boats” which were sold throughout the region. A stone boat is a sled used
to haul rocks when clearing land or building roads, walls and house foundations.
Since 2004, the property has been modeled
after the affordable Pensionen in the owner’s native Bavaria (Germany) to create an easy-going atmosphere for visiting outdoor enthusiasts and
budget-minded travelers. The property includes a pristine brook and pond and nature trails on its 40 wooded acres.
Rooms are clean and simply
appointed; all have private entrances and baths. A continental breakfast is
served in the dining area. Amenities include a dining area with fridge,
microwave, dishes and utensils, as well as an outdoor barbeque grill for
preparation of simple dinners by guests using food brought in from the Jamaica
Market.
Since the Stone Boat Farm is located
several miles beyond the village of Jamaica, if you elect to stay here, you'll
pass through Jamaica on your first day of cycling (after stopping at the Market
to buy dinner provisions) and begin your second day of cycling by returning to
Jamaica.

Camping Option
Jamaica State Park - Jamaica
Jamaica State Park is located on a bend of the West River about one-half mile
from the center of the town of Jamaica. Nearby to the north is Ball Mountain.
Hamilton Falls is located about one mile up Cobb Brook, which enters the West
River upstream from the park.
There are 41 tent / trailer sites spread out through the campground. Two rest
rooms, complete with hot showers ($), are located in the campground. A picnic
shelter and nature center is located near the picnic area and swimming hole. A
hiking trail follows the West River and branches off toward Hamilton Falls.
Open: May 8 - Columbus Day Weekend. 2-night minimum stay required.
Rates: $18 - $20 per tent site per night.
