Camping Options
Fort Dummer State Park
Located in the southern foothills of the Green
Mountains, the forest is more like those of southern New England than
like a typical Vermont forest. Southern tree species such as white,
red, and chestnut oaks, dominate the hardwood forest, which also
contains beech, maple, yellow birch, and white birch.
The campground has 50 tent/trailer sites and 10 lean-to sites. These are
located in two adjacent areas and are served by two toilet buildings,
both with hot showers ($). There is a sanitary dump station, but no
hookups. Also located within the park are a small picnic area, hiking
trails and a large open field.
Open: Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. 2-night minimum stay required.

Located 5 miles north of downtown Brattleboro, this KOA offers large RV and tent sites with grills, tables,
and shade trees over grass lawns. In addition, there are five quaint cottages,
each with a private bathroom, linen service, and cable TV; and two rental trailers that can sleep up to six or eight. Amenities include a game
room/TV/computer lounge, swimming pool, playgrounds, laundry, camp
